Terror and sheer excitement await Magdalena and the rest of the gang as they venture into another thriller written for middle grade and young readers. Magdalena Gottschalk: The Slippery Slope, book #2 of the coming-of-age series, blends suspense, intrigue, and supernatural haunts while incorporating preteen life lessons of friendship, courage, communal responsibility, and loyalty.

Magdalena, feeling guilty about the last excursion that left her best friends in danger, decides she is capable of battling the hidden forces of evil on her own. However, things don’t quite go as planned, and the delicate balance of Lily Brooke’s everyday small-town living fades into battling the treacherous terrain of wintry landscape. MALB (the Mystical Alliance of Lily Brooke), in an effort to save their beloved Magdalena, realizes that Christmas is only a week away. With the holiday festivities about to begin, they realize time is of the essence, for their disappearance will quickly be noticed. Worry plagues the group, wondering if they will become trapped in The Enchanted Forest, or, through faith and determination, will they save Magdalena and make it home in time to celebrate the most cherished of the year? Stay tuned, but you may want to leave the lights on, as evil tends to lurk in the shadows.
